Step-by-step tips for each module so you can run smoother sessions and prep with confidence.

Dashboard Overview

Your command deck: high-level adventure summary, roster tabs, bestiary snapshot, and quick actions.

  1. Use the roster tabs (Players, NPCs, Monsters) to review or jump into editing a record.
  2. Tap the Overview card to expand an act for synopsis, goals, and scenes.
  3. Use the floating note button (feather icon) to capture session recaps anywhere.

Journal & Adventures

Create adventures, add acts, log notes, and keep an eye on progress.

  1. Select 'Create Adventure' to outline title, summary, themes, and status.
  2. Expand an adventure to set it as active, add acts, or review linked notes/NPCs.
  3. Use the dropdown in act cards to add new beats; notes can be previewed and edited inline.

Bestiary

Track homebrew creatures, stat blocks, and art assets.

  1. Use 'Add Monster' to upload art, enter AC/HP/Speed, JSON traits, and link to adventures.
  2. Expand a creature to see quick stats, scores, traits, and actions.
  3. Edit or delete from the row actions; CR and art show in the collapsed header.

Players

Keep the party roster ready with tokens, stats, and status badges.

  1. Use 'Add Player' to capture name, class, level, stats, and token art.
  2. Tap a card to see ability scores and race/alignment details.
  3. Edit or delete with the actions near the top-right of a card.

NPCs

Organize allies, rivals, patrons, and quest givers.

  1. Use 'Add NPC' to enter class, AC/HP, attitudes, and optional adventure links.
  2. Row badges show their status (Friendly, Neutral, Hostile).
  3. Expand entries to see full stat breakdown; edit or delete via the top-right actions.

Notes & Recaps

Session capsules with Markdown support.

  1. Use the floating feather button to launch the note composer.
  2. Select an adventure so it appears inside that journal entry.
  3. Preview notes inside the adventure cards; edit or delete from the note dialog.

Keyboard Shortcuts

Power user shortcuts for faster navigation and productivity.

  1. Press Option+1 through Option+5 (Alt+1-5 on Windows/Linux) to jump between main sections (Dashboard, Journal, Bestiary, Players, NPCs).
  2. Use Cmd+Shift+H (Ctrl+Shift+H) to open the help guide, or Cmd+, (Ctrl+,) for settings.
  3. Press Cmd+Shift+N (Ctrl+Shift+N) to open the note composer, or Cmd+Shift+D (Ctrl+Shift+D) to toggle dark mode.
  4. Shortcuts are automatically disabled when typing in text fields to prevent accidental navigation.
  5. All shortcuts work with Cmd on Mac and Ctrl on Windows/Linux.
